Friday 14th September – 8.30pm (doors 8pm)
Voted the UK’s Best Live Comic 2016, it’s been hard to book JEFF INNOCENT and I’ve been trying since 2011.
As a stand up comedian he has reached near legendary status among his peers and audience alike by staying at the top of his game for over 15 years. He was voted Runner Up in the Facebook Poll for Best Live Club Comedian 2013 and 2014, won Best In Fest at the Norwich Comedy Festival 2014 and was nominated in the 2015 Chortle Awards Best Live Club Act catefory. His unique appeal lies in the contrast between his East End ‘Geezer’ appearance and demeanour, and his educated, philosophical delivery and subject matter. Inspiring the guardian to describe him as a comedian with, ‘The body of a nightclub bouncer and the brains of a university boffin’.
Online booking now open. Tickets will not be posted
Sorry for the poor quality of the below clip, but you’ll get the idea of the fun we’ll have:
A regular at the Comedy Store, STEVE GRIBBIN is a diminutive guitar-wielding satirist from Liverpool whose scabrous comedy songs and off the wall observations have made him one of the firm favourites of the comedy circuit.
MATTHEW OSBORN is a hugely talented stand-up who started on the circuit in 2002 and went on to win SO YOU THINK YOU’RE FUNNY the same year. In 2003 was named CHORTLE BEST NEWCOMER. Since then he has performed on the UK circuit and abroad in France, Belgium and Monaco. As well as supporting HARRY HILL and AL MURRAY and appearing as part of THE COMEDY ZONE at the 2003 Edinburgh festival.
Your MC for the night is RUSSELL HICKS. One of the most exciting comics to come out of America, Russell is branded one of the ‘Top Six Comics to Watch’ by LA’s Stand Up Talk Magazine.
